GIMA-TA (our home)

Sometimes there are signs and indications that shouldn't be ignored. I believe in karma and things that happen for a reason. I also believe that most don't see signs and take things as they come. Well, an awesome opportunity arose for me, and I took it. My long time boyfriend of 10 years, Nic, says that his friend has a motorhome for sale at a great price. An opportunity, a sign, this was it.  We bought it! It was a little larger than I had ever wanted. She is 31' long. But now that we bought her and have her, I wouldn't want it any other way. We had a PDI (pre-delivery inspection) done to see if there was anything majorly wrong with her that we didn't know about already. Minor things are wrong, and we are now in the process of fixing her up. I think it's been 3 months that we've had her now. We had to leave her at the shop in line for 3 weeks. All good though. I have just finished putting the 1st coat of paint on the cabinets in the kitchen and enjoying every minute of the hard work we are doing to help get her ready for full time glamping!
We named this beauty Gima-ta because we will be using this as our home, which is what Gima-ta means in Chamorro (the language of Guam), "our home". Hopefully, she will give us many years of happiness! I am so excited to start this journey and to start seeing the world. Starting small with the US, then I will venture on to visit other countries and experience other countries. Maybe by boat. But for the time being, Gima-ta is where it's at. I love our new home!

  1. Great job on Gima-ta and great name (sticking with your heritage). A perfect way to see the sites and she'll be with you all the way!

    1. Thanks Vanessa! I will eventually be posting updated pics of our progress of getting her ready for us full time! I am proud of our chamorro heritage and believe that our roots are the most loving and caring ones! I believe Gima-ta will be good to us and take us everywhere our hearts desire! (Might have to park her in California for a short time so I can take a plane trip home to Guam❤🇬🇺)
