Nature calls me everyday

I feel that when I'm outside my mind is clear and at ease. Just being around trees and beautiful flowers make my soul feel great. I know there are many others that feel the same way that I do. I do right now have the luxury of walking around downtown Charleston in the early morning when there are no cars or people around. The historic buildings are interesting, but I prefer the random gardens, the window boxes with flowers, and the hidden alleyways with nature peeking out and trying to survive in little cubbies. I try and get a jog in while I venture through all the streets I've been down many times, but it is hard to jog when there is another flower that needs me to remember it. So I stop and take a picture to preserve the beautiful images I get to experience. I love the smell of nature, and I am very grateful for this small gift that was given to me. Who wouldn't be happy to smell a hibiscus with the early morning dew on it? I'm grateful for my sight (half-ass vision, but still) I can still see all the beauty in nature. My hearing nature is also not to be forgotten, hearing waves crashing, listening to all the animals in this world, they all just give me a warm feeling. My yearning to see more of the nature in this world has come to a wanting on a level that I can no longer procrastinate. There are many people in this world that do not get to ever see, hear or feel nature, everyone should appreciate the gifts and not take advantage of all that is around us and take care of the world.
My soul needs to have more. To most that mean things, to me it means nature. Not everyone who knows me thinks that this is a good idea, they say, "why would you want to leave?" and " what will you do for money and work?" I say...Is one place good for someone?  Is the money needed for life? NO! I need to eat and be happy! My happiness is now on the top of my list of goals. Don't get me wrong, I am always usually happy, and I am not being selfish in saying that. I love my family and friends and I always wish the best for them, but I am now making sure that my Chamorro soul is happy. Which in turn will make my aura happy and everyone else around me happy.
Botany Bay (Edisto Island, SC) This is one of my favorite places. It is a preserved natural wildlife area that has my heart. I will have to visit here one last time before my journey starts to find new favorite places!!!

  1. I feel exactly the same way! And you are a beautiful writer! Thank you so much for reminding me in detail of all the little things I miss about Charleston!

    1. Thanks for the compliment. Of course I don't see myself as a beautiful writer, I wish I was more descriptive in how I see things and feel them. Maybe a thesaurus might be needed! Haha. Thanks! Janille❤🇬🇺
